時間とは何か 磨墨知590-2

 

　人生は言葉の定義で生き様が変わる。言葉をどのように解釈して行動に移すのか、それによって人生の歩き方が変わる。解釈の仕方は国や民族の人生観そのものである。人生をつまらないものと定義すれば、つまらない人生を送る。価値あるものと定義すれば、価値を作るための生き方をする。

　それ故、時間を「量」と捉えるか、「命」と捉えるかでは、生き様に大きな差が出るはずである。

　辞書での解説とは、辞書の各編集者の解釈にすぎない。解釈が同じでないことは下記の辞書例を見れば一目瞭然である。辞書は、あくまで個人的見解である。自分の人生を創る為に、自分で時間を定義しよう。

　ODA佛教の辞書では「時間とは与えられた命である」。

 

リース物件

　その命は、必ず死ぬことが確定のリース物件である。それも仏様から授かったリース物件である。そのリース期間中に、どけだけ自分の命を輝かせられるかを問われる。リース物件だから期限が来れば、仏様に返さねばならぬ。リース満期前でも、使い方が間違っていると、仏様から強制的に没収される。

 

生存的地盤か生命的地盤のどちらで生きる？

　人は生存的地盤で生きると、単なる我欲だけで生きることである。己が死ぬことを考えず物欲、金欲、権利欲に執着して生活し、何時までもそれが続くと思ってしまう。金を持てば更に金が欲しくなる生活となる。権力の座に就けば、何時までもその座を離さない。まるで大垣市の小川敏のような存在である。

　それを生命的地盤で生きると覚悟すると、命は生と死を含めた存在であることを意識して生きる。己も何時かは死ぬ身であることを意識して生きる。だからこそ生命体として己の命を輝かせて生きることが出来る。

 

真のおとなになる

　道元禅師『正法眼蔵』に曰く「諸仏は大人なり」。仏教で佛になるとは、大人（だいにん）になるの意味である。小人（しょうにん・ガキ・こども）で生まれて、修行をして、本当に意味の「大人」になる事を、佛になるという。今の世は、あまりに大人になっていない未熟児が多すぎる。それは佛（真のおとな）になる修行をせず、生存的地盤だけで生きるからだ。

　今の日本社会が停滞している原因は、西洋の個人主義、利己主義、拝金主義、刹那主義、欲望主義に侵されたためである。だからこそ、命が生死を含む存在であることを認識して生きることだ。

 

命の寿命

　どんなモノにも命がある。モノにも命があり、職位にも命がある。大統領、市長なら4年、社長なら2年である。その職位の命が尽きるまでに、その使命をどれだけ全うできるかが問われる。頑張って成果を上げれば、2期目もあるかもしれない。その覚悟がないと、無為無策の任期を務めることになる。

　モノも大事に使えば、その寿命を全うして、自分の道具として一生使える。私は高いモノを大事に長く使っている。

　人間の命のリース期間は、平均で80年である。そのリース期間中で、自分の体を大事に使って、与えられた使命をどれだけ果たすかである。

　幸いなことに、リース物件の己の体を大事に使えば、そのリース期間延長は仏様からご褒美で授けられる。だから死んでもいいから（？）、健康管理が必要なのだ。天才ではない凡人の我々は、長生きすることだ。

 

各辞書での「時間」の定義

 ０　時間とは与えられた命である。（ODA佛教の辞書）　

　だから時間にも死がある。時間とは、あくまで自分の命の刻みである。一刻一刻、命は尽きていく。それに対して、他人の時間は止まっている。それを早退性原理（相対性原理？）という。己は皆に見送られ「早退」して、あの世に逝くのだ。だから、その前にやるべき使命を果たすべく、定時（寿命）まではこの世に留まるように精進すべきだ。
